    Thinking of buying

What are these boxes like? I've seen a video on youtube and I know the boot time is quite long but is the box fast enough when it's fully booted up?

What are the zap times like and the speed when accessing the epg? Does it take a few seconds to load the epg or is it instant?

I'm thinking about one for a relative but I don't what them getting frustrated by lag as they will be doing all there channel changes through the 7 day epg.

    Any opinions appreciated.

Infobar pretty much instant. EPG 2-4 secs, depends on bouquet.

I use swap on a USB stick, helps. Remember is 500mhz, but only single core. To put into comparison, VU+ Solo is 333mhz single core.

I read somewhere that the box was laggy but just wanted a few more opinions before I purchased.

If it isn't laggy then it's a bit of a bargain at the current price.

XP1000 is DVB-S/S2, yes only 1 USB port and it also has external PSU.

Any this is about the XP1000, not you trying to sell your receivers, imo both the Gigablue HD800xx models are good too, the XP1000 is a bargain @ £139.
