download it from extensions press blue click on hbbtv no hbbtv application detected how do i set it up

You need to be on a channel that supports hbbtv indicated when hbbtv is green in info bar. Try Dr Dish on 19deg east.

Hi,
you can try almost all German channel. If you zap you should see a HbbTV icon in the infobar and when you see this icon you can proceed using HbbTV.

HbbTV is not the same as BBC red button AFAIK.
