Well, I can tell you what my preferred image is, but that won't help you very much. This is just the same as choosing a car: you have to experience it yourself. Switch to any other image, use it for a week and go to the next. In the end you'll know.

I have a preference for SIF images on my 800HD Solo if i'm totally honest. Different box, I know, but very similar images.

I find the SIF images very good indeed, and also the Powerboard VX image is very clean and very fast.

Italysat, OpenMIPS and OpenAAF are also not bad images, but not my favorite.

Its all dependent on if you want an image with all the whistle and bells in it or if you want a minimal image which is clean and fast. There are loads of different images out there that cater for most people.

I'll let you know when it becomes available for my receiver. I'm hoping to get a Gigablue UE soon so i will be able to put VIX through its paces.

Not used any other images myself personally but Vix works very well. Had to re-flash once to get updates to work but other than that, its very clean and easy to navigate.
