    Memory question

    The advertised memory for the TM2-T is stated as 8 Gbit (1024mb) flash and 3Gbit (384mb) DDR RAM.
    Does this correspond with the memory information taken from the box (see below). Thanks.

    Look at /var/log/messages

    In the case of my Quad I see

    LOL no, but the story is the same for all boxes: they all have Linux as OS.

    Anyway: part of the memory isn't available (and hence not visible) in userspace. So using the 'free' command as in you OP you can only see the memory that is available in userspace: you can't related that to the total amount of memory (as you don't know how much has been allocated to the system).
