    Remote viewing of VLC

    Hi,

This is more a vlc problem as it is a Quad problem. So sorry if its in wrong section.

I also have the exact same thing happen when I'm using my dads et5000.

I can stream from my quad using the web interface when its in my house(local network) using boxip: port

When I try do it using the dns thing like myname.no-ip.org: port the web interface opens and I can control the box but when I try stream vlc says file cannot be played. Any ideas?

That done the trick. Thanks. Knew it was something simple. I have changed the default port for http. Should I also change the streaming one? for security ?

    Menu > Plugins > OpenWebif

That will show you the default values. You can leave them as they are or change them if you are concerned about security.
