    box will be unusable now

I was trying to change skin on dm 500s recently and got to, have to restart enigma to apply new skin.
selected ok and waited for it to restart. but I got a fatal error message and remote would not respond.
I tried to reboot box and it was only showing green led and nothing else. I tried to reflash with dreamup null modem cable and it seemed to have gone well as I got message flash copy successful.
as I was about to exit dreamup and disconnect cable i got a crc error code and the box will be unusable now. so my question is should it be thrown in the rubbish bin.
    thanks

Try a re-flash with null modem cable only.
