Solo 2 Start up Wizzard

Hi Guys...

I just receive my solo2 with 500 gb hd from WOS today-thank you guys .....

Switch Solo2 on for first time, greeted with wizard set up It says "press ok to move to next step" so I press ok nothing happens just red light on remote flashing.

thats it what am i doing wrong

Just a guess...

Standard the Solo2 uses RC code 2

Perhaps your RC is in other mode
Just check it to be sure if this is the case

6. System Code Change.

You can change the system code of your Vu+ universal RCU according to the Vu+ model that you want to
control. The default system code is Mode 2.

Mode 1 : SOLO / DUO
Mode 2 : UNO / Ultimo / SOLO2 / DUO2
Mode 3 & 4 : reserved for future models.

Press <<2 + 7>>, <HELP>, <0001 or 0002 or 0003 or 0004>

    Press 2 and 7 for three seconds until LED is on.
    Press HELP
    Press <0001 or 0002 or 0003 or 0004>

Thanks Delagroov just tried that ,I think the solo2 remote is ok,as i have a vu duo and solo with same remote and nothing happens

Try changing the remote mode to mode 3

thanx tried all modes , the box starts up , enters wizard mode ,says press continue as my first post , then nothing , screen remains in wizard mode

Does you Duo or other Solo have a programmable remote you can try on the Solo2?

Have you tried re-flashing the unit?

I have tested all remotes(s) with all the different codes and the remote that comes with solo2 works with my other boxs

Yes I have tried reflashing with blackhole and vix (solo2 images ) .... then this happens

the box says UPDATE then press power

I press power remote responds

then box goes into wizard as described above

remote becomes non responsive except red light flashing when you press any button

You press power on the box, not on the R/C?

Touch the power button on the receiver, blue circles, then the receiver will flash.

Remember the solo and Duo do not have the Universal remote so they will not work, Ultimo, Uno or solo2
