no its not possible or advised to use a backup from a receiver on another ( different ) model, you can use backups between the same model ie solo to solo but not different models.

so it wont work at all? i thought that if both receivers were using the same black hole image then it would just be like loading the settings from my ultimo to my dads solo that i have got him for xmas??
Why would you even think that? They are two different models with the own images/drivers.

Hi,
Image impossible! Settings/Plugins might work but can cause problems. I transfered my Ultimo settings to my Solo2 and had only minor problems.
