FYI - OpenPLI image and Samsung amp

Hi All,

I am using the latest OpenPLi image. Up until 2 days ago, sound via the optical out on the VUDUO and my samsung amp was very faint and anything played via the DVD player e.g. ISO images with AC3 audio would play with no sound. To solve this I had to delete the file /usr/lib/liba52.so.0. Once this was done - everything played great. Remember though that this file returns every time you do a software update so you have to delete it once the update is complete.

Hope this helps someone who is having the same issues.

I've go to admit, i've not had any issues with the optical out connected to a Yamaha AMP. To be honest though, I've had AC3 downmix turned off as turning it on made the audio slightly weaker/lower volume so to say.

Out of interest whats your audio settings? Is AC3 downmix on or off?

At the moment AC3 downmix will be set to whatever it is as default as I dont believe I've touched that setting.
