Do I transfere the solo folder to a usb key or put the file into root of the usb.

    Thanks for any help given.
Just make sure you use the correct image for your machine as the solo and solo2 are very different machines, other than that its a very easy process to flash these boxes.

if you follow this tutorial to flash your receiver you should be fine.

Thanks. Had BH installed but HD channels with high SR didn't work. Found that the CI CAM was to blame. So softcam was the answer. But Softcam and BH was a no no.
So now I'm running wix with CCcam configured according to this post, and everything works.
Vu+ Solo2, XBMCbuntu, 40" Panasonic Plasma with BTT350 for sound. Harmony 300 for control.
    Still working on WAF

    Thank you.

It took me a long time to get the wording just rite for this tutorial so that it would be suitable for novices and more advanced users alike, im sure the same is true for the amendments and additions made by josh.

Im currently in the process of updating my original work that this version is based on for the latest ViX images, when that is competed I will post it up.

Presume you are talking about trying to install a plugin?
If so, which one? and maybe open a new thread rather than take this thread off topic.

    Just tried here, enigma2-plugin-cams-mgcamd.1.35a_1.0-r3_mipsel.ipk ftp'd to /tmp/
Blue button -> ViX -> Install local extension & installed just fine.
After an E2 restart, it's showing up in Blue button -> Softcam Manager.

Try downloading it & adding it to your box again, maybe your download was corrupt?

I normally use Firefox to download and Filezilla to transfer. Never failed.
