I'd say its the best in its price range as single tuner broadcom Enigma 2 receiver ViX image coming very soon, amazing amount of support already from OpenPLi, OpenAAF

Remote control is superb quality too, feels really nice and very well layed out.

I see it has only one USB connector. Will this box work OK with a USB Hub? And if a wifi dongle is plugged into the Hub does that work OK? Also, does the wifi dongle have to be by a particular manufacturer?

    Thanks, Unh.

I will be testing this tomorrow to see if the USB hub works.. One thing is for sure.. The hub will have to have its own power source for it to work in the box..

if the powered hub works in the Max Digital .. i cant see any reason why the wifi dongle will not work..

Obviously.. For wifi dongles.. You get what you pay for .. I have an old cheap dongle here.. and although it does work.. its not very stable.. and keeps dropping out.. and it was only a few meters away from the router.. All the dongles i use now are Vu Dongles.. and never had any issues with any of them.. i even got Vu Dongles 25+ meters away from the router.. and no problems..

Check out the sponsors site ...HERE... for a good range of wifi dongles..

Yes you can use a Hub. I've test both the Ferguson and VU+ Dongle here http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Networking-WiFi or your could use the Tenda Wifi bridge so no usb ports are used.

Depends on the device attached to it: USB = 5V @ 500mA (max), so if all devices together use less then this, there should be no problem.
e.g. using external HDD's or tuners that have their own PSU the HUB doesn't need to be powered.
A bus-powered USB-HDD will almost for sure not get enough power to spin up.

Should be, yes. But one is never sure how much power is being drawn. So try it, and if it doesn't work you know what to do.
