Quad with Vix image and V-Box positioner

Hi to all of you Quad users,

I'm still having great trouble trying to get my Quad and V-box positioner to work in sync.
After hours and hours, still no joy.
Is there anyone else out there with this set up please?

I'm a little green on this but I just cannot get the Quad to move the Dish when selecting a different channel on a different sat. The icon comes up in top left hand of screen to go from 19.2 to 13 but nothing moves.

The Quad moves the dish on setup so it is working it but just does'nt want to do it on channel change.

Any help appreciated please, I'm new to this and it's probably something simple I expect but some of the items on Tuner setup when I select DisEQc 1.2 I dont understand so I've left them at default, the only thing I've altered from then on is USALS to No and stored the sat position!!

    Sorry guys.

I dont have a VBox II but i help set a friends dish up last year here a how to i hope it helps im sure someone here can help more i know the tutorial is for a Vu+ but all Enigma 2 image work the same way in setting up sats

How to setup Vu+ with VBox II DiSEqC 1.2 Positioner.

If your VBox II already has the satellite positions stored and your changing from an old receiver to Vu+ then follow this procedure.

Write down your VBox II satellite position numbers. These are the numbers displayed on the front of the VBox II when moving to a

specific satellite position. These position numbers can also be found in your old receivers motor setup menu.

    Example lets say...

Position 1 on VBox II = Astra 19e

    Position 2 on VBox II = Eutelsat W2 16e

Position 3 on VBox II = Hotbird 13e

    You get the idea...

First send the dish to Astra 19e using Vbox II.

    On Vu+ Remote Press Menu

    Select Setup Press OK

    Select Service Searching Press OK

    Select Tuner configuration Press OK

    Select Tuner A Press OK

Now set Configuration Mode to Advanced. Use Left or Right keys on remote to select.

    Configuration Mode: Advanced

    Satellite: Astra 19e

    LNB: 1

    DiSEqC mode: 1.2

Scroll down to botton of the page with the down arrow on remote.

    Stored position: 001

    Press OK to store.

OK that's Astra 19e setup now to setup Eutelsat W2 16e

Now send the dish to Eutelsat 16E using Vbox II.

    Select Setup Press OK

    Select Service Searching Press OK

    Select Tuner configuration Press OK

    Select Tuner A Press OK

    Configuration Mode: Advanced

    Satellite: Eutelsat W2 16e

    LNB: 2

    DiSEqC mode: 1.2

Scroll down to botton of the page with the down arrow on remote.

    Stored position: 002

    Press OK to store.

OK that's Eutelsat W2 16e setup now to setup Hotbird 13e

Now send dish to Hotbird using Vbox II

    Select Setup Press OK

    Select Service Searching Press OK

    Select Tuner configuration Press OK

    Select Tuner A Press OK

    Configuration Mode: Advanced

    Satellite: Hotbird 13e

    LNB: 3

    DiSEqC mode: 1.2

Scroll down to botton of the page with the down arrow on remote.

    Stored position: 003

    Press OK to store.

You get the idea, now repeat for the rest of the satellites and your done.

    Big thanks to OP

Many thanks, I think I know where I've been going wrong now, I've only used LNB 1 on each Sat rather than LNB 2, LNB 3 etc.,

Cheers, I'll have a try and let you know.

No it won't work as the LNB1 is just a "label" to store the settings for each satellite and hence you have to use different LNB's (labels) for different sats

I have only used LB1 on my setup. You have to give each Sat a different store position. I have used 04 on vbox and 004 for VU+ on Astra 2 28.2E
and 13 on vbox , 013 on Sat box for Astra 1 19.2E etc. My vbox has 100 program positions. There must be about 1000 prog store settings available for Sat box

It all depends on the Inputs. I have a motorised dish with twin LNB and on VU+ it is setup the same as Tuner A. If you have a setup with many different LNB's on a fix dish you would then programme with LNB1, LNB2 ect.
