Sound like a setup error to me. Ive just reflashed my vu+ duo and set up the system as motor and forgot the North & east settings its that easy to make errors. Good chance you're system is a diseq switch with multi lnb's , if so is the system set up to this? Also could be the lnb(s) themselves are setup wrong - eg not as universal but as 9.75 (done this as well - cant get a dammed thing until universal was chosen - this was on the reciever before the vu+ duo). So theres lots of reasons for no reception.
Like Basilyoung says, return more info about the setup then the guys can help massive.
