For a nice stable image, download VIX, it really is the dogs ******** for EPG, Andy has even integrated coolmans epg into it so for a new user there is very little extra you need to do yourself.

I have tried them all and keep comming back to VIX. I find it quick, user friendly and very good support. That is why I donated to this web site because of the time and effort put into it.

I'm new

I tried VIX, VTI, Blackhole, PLI and Gigant.
Out of the box, VIX is by far the easiest to use.
The default button configuration just made sense to me.

--> I think I'll stay with VIX for the time beeing.

VIX 1.3 the only thing i cannot get working is my smargo smartreader+ or an external phoenix
rs232 reader, not a huge issue, but it would be nice if I could get one or the other working
as I have 3 cards and currently have to run other card in my dm800hd as I can't any external
readers to work on vu+.

Hi everyone. I have recently joined the forum. I got my new duo on new years eve. So far i am very impressed with VTI 2.3 image. I couldnt believe how easy it is to setup. had it all up and running in an hour with full epg and permanent timeshift and CCcam 2.1.4. All runs perfect. I have now created a backup image of vti so going to try some different images over next few days.

Niteman1969, my smartgo reader worked straight out of the box on vix 1.3. Did it work before. If yes what image and version.
Mine worked on Vix 1.2 but then I had to manually install the drivers.
Is it a genuine smartgo.

Since I got the box I have had VTi installed, just recently did an upgrade of VTi to 2.3. So far so good. I intend to install VIX at some point but not sure when I'll get around to doing it.

Tried all of them (nearly) 5 or more time ,but gone back to BH-because it's simply the best.
