    1) VU Uno's FTP WAN access and 2)subtitles color

    Hello guys,

First of all I must thank all the people that work on ViX. It is a really great image.

    Now, concerning my problems:

    1) I cannot access my VU Uno through FTP (TCP 21) from the internet. I have opened the port that it needs but I couldn't manage to access my files.

Here is the log of FileZilla :

    Status: Resolving address of my.dyndns.address.which.I.don't.say.
    Status: Connecting to my.IP....
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220 Welcome to the OpenPLi FTP service.
    Command: USER root
Response: 331 Please specify the password.
    Command: PASS ********
    Response: 230 Login successful.
    Status: Connected
    Status: Retrieving directory listing...
    Command: PWD
    Response: 257 "/"
    Command: TYPE I
Response: 200 Switching to Binary mode.
    Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (my.IP.with.commas,197,17)
    Command: LIST
    Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

    2) I wanted to watch an mkv movie(subs audio video 1 file, I can select wether to disable or enable subs) that I have and I get a light blue colour on the subs. Where can I change that color? (It is not set up by the subs to be in blue, it must be something with the options on the VU Uno)

    Cheers

Yes I can. Instead of the errors I get:

Response: 150 Here comes the directory listing.
    Response: 226 Directory send OK.
    Status: Directory listing successful

Well, if you can FTP in on the LAN, it suggests router issues from FTP'ing from WAN.
Have you done a port forward of 21 on your router?

I don't think it's the routers problem, as long as it connects with the username and password.

The problem occurs when filezilla is about to run LIST command. Can this be a router's problem?

From my PC I can't, I will try with my box too, but in the morning. How should I check them? I remember there was an FTP client ? Anyway I will find it

Note that I can also get UNO's http (TCP:80) and stream (TCP:8001) to work through WAN. The only problem is FTP :/ And as it looks like it must be something I should configure in the box.

Anyway see ya tomorrow (2:30 am in my country)

This is likely an internet connection...

At work, I connect behind a proxy. Sometimes, I can connect fine to my box via ftp, others I have the timeout on listing too. However, on my phone over 3g, and everywhere else I have tried to access via internet, I have no problems. Only when connecting through my work internet... So, it's likely nothing on your router, and nothing on your box...

Have you internet connection elsewhere you could try to connect with?
