ET9000 torrent plugin

I leave my Et9000 box on 24/7 and would like to be able to have it downloading a torrent instead of having to leave my PC on.
Is there a Torrent client available for use with the latest VIX image ?

sorry mate i have never used a torrent client for almost 6 years, although i do know some one who does on his receiver via ViX. not sure what he uses though.

When i click on your link i get>> "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms"
I was however able to find old threads, but nothing that is compatible for todays VIX image.

I haven't tested it myself but there's one called transmission in

thread it says it's for 3.0 too.

Looks like you need a few files for it to work though.

Just tried it out. Downloaded from

the 2.61 version.

Installed it on ET9000 running vix 3 build 268.
Went to the plugin and had to start transmission deamon.
Then went to ipofyoursatbox:9091
Finally figured out the u/n root p/w dreambox.
Upped a torrent via the web interface.
Worked flawlessly.

Yeah m8, Open the plugin like you would any other via blue button or through the menu.
You'll see this screen:-

Once you select "start transmission-daemon" it'll start running and tell you the http:// address where you can view the web interface from your computer/tablet/phone. Basically the ip address you have assigned to your sat box with the ":9091" extension.

After starting the plugin get yourself a .torrent file for testing it on your box.
Go to the web interface in your browser of choice and then click on the button with the up arrow:-

you'll then get this pop up:-

which you can use to browse your computer for the .torrent file you got ready for testing.
