Question Help, Question about image flashing

    Hi,
I have a vu+ duo with the vix image 2.4.151 and iv just noticed there is a new vix 2.4.165 image.
can anyone tell me if i flash this image over, will it overwrite the old one and leave all settings the same,
or will stuff get deleted ?
Also when installing a bouquet list, does it contain picons or do i have to get these seperately and fxp them in ?

    thanks.

If you are flashing your Duo via usb stick.. you will loose everything.. ( But why not make a back up on yo and then you will be asked to restore settings from backup in your installation.. Just click yes.. )

If your doing an update via remote.. you will not loose anything at all..

at the moment the latest ViX image is set as unstable, dont worry that does not mean its unstable just not extensively tested is all.

    first make a full backup

    Blue button> ViX> Image manager> Green button.

    then

menu> setup> system> online update> set allow unstable ( untested ) updates to yes. then press green to save and exit back to live tv.

    then

Blue button> ViX> software update> pick the unattended option and wait for the receiver to reboot ( takes around 5 to 8 minutes ).

    1st :

Menu > Set Up > System > Online Update..

    then change opens to :

    Yes
    06
    Yes

Then exit out of all menus..

    Then :

    Blue > Vix > Software Update >

    Then just follow on-screen instructions..

I also must stress.. That with the above instructions.. You will also update your image to all image releases..

    Both Stable and Unstable..
