    Maxwell, Linc,

What can I say ?....I've made a massive error......I'll tell you in the hope that if someone was to read this it will save them a day of torture !! lol

I tried everything you said Maxwell, with still no success.

I then thought back to what I'd done since Sunday ( the day when everything worked). All I'd done was move the box from the top shelf to the bottom. However whilst I'd done that, I must've swapped the 2 Co-Ax cables over ( 1 going to Tuner A, the other going to Tuner B).

I, just out of interest, swapped them back and everything now works.....what a PLUM !!!

(not really sure why one works better than the other...but I dont really give a Sh*t)

A whole day wasted rebooting, flashing etc...all I had to do was swap cables over !!!

Anyway, I wish you luck Linc in your quest for the perfect set up and I thank you again Maxwell for at least trying to help.

I shall now have a large vodka in the knowledge that I can now watch BBC1HD whenever I like !!!

    Cheers

@scotty congratulations but it should not matter which cable it is from a twin lnb so congratulations once more as you have now proved you have a faulty cable or lnb

lincoln - set tuner b to not configured and disconnect the cable then setup tuner A like this and try both cables one at a time on A

EDIT: Just been reading back through this thread and you say this is your second box that has had this problem, I refuse to believe that you are unlucky enough to have had 2 boxes with a total of 4 tuners between them all faulty - can you take a close up pic of both cables F connectors please

Hi Maxwell i have sorted the problem now, i noted down all channels and frequencies from my openbox and manually inputted them in the Duo and bingo they all started showing up on the search page and then i was able to view them with no problem. the channel frequencies were definetly different on the openbox (slightly out) to the 28.2e SGTFlipFlop, Mr Mister, Rats and silverfox but they were all identical themselves.

Thanks for your time and effort Maxwell, and thanks tothe forum for their support

Glad you are sorted although from what you say it sounds like the local oscillator on the LNB has drifted slightly, maybe time for a new one

one thing that can get overlooked can be age of dish, alignment of dish, lnbs and damaged/loose cables and water ingress can always have a bearing on how good a signal you get and more to the point picture quality, after say 8 years would it be better to upgrade dish and lnbs?
bravo for not giving up as you have now got an excellent box with years of happy viewing.
