Has anyone had problems with their remote control?

Today mine suddenly stopped working and the red STB button was constantly lit, checked to make sure any buttons weren't stuck down, all ok. I then took the batteries out for an hour and had to use the laptop to change channels, was still the same after that so I left them out when I went to work and it strangely seems to be working again now??

Maybe change the batteries for new set, but use premium Duracell batteries. Maybe a key had got stuck down.

Mine did the same last week it was the batteries got some decent ones to replace the stock ones

I tried brand new duracells in, was the first thing I tried. Strange lol

I have had the STB light stay on my remote as well... Took the batteries out, and it was okay..

Although I did put new (looks in the remote now) asda long life batts in.,.,., haha..... I do feel that my remote is not the most repsonsive....

same problem for me ..stop working suddenly ..and it is weak signal from the remote even with new duracells if you compare with DM 800 remote
i have heard that you can use DM 800 remote...but i forget what i read that ....anyone can help ?
you can change files in the box and the dreambox remote will work ..anyone ?

I just got a harmony 650 remote for mine working very well . Not sure about the dm800 remote

Just googles the Logitec 650 ---- £69 for a remote... OUCH!!!

Is it worth it?

Hi,
Harmonies are worth every penny if you have to control more then 2 devices. Only for TV+STB they do not make sense.

Picked up a harmony 600 for 20 pounds in december.box had sought scratch and remote was mint condition. None available at mo but they are there fairly regularly.
