cccam config emm question

I have the a sly card and waiting for the card to update in my box still.

Im trying to work out if something is wrong in my config file. I have the line "DISABLE EMM : YES" - would that be stopping my card updating?

Also how is this signal sent out to update the card? Do I have to be watching a certain channel or channels from a specific transponder? Don't really want to have to keep taking the card out and putting it into the Sly box.

If it misses the update, will it just update again in a months time automatically?
