fixed ip address

on the et5000 is it posible to set the ip adress as the router i have seems rubbish as i have to keep restarted it to make the internet work better so whem i do this it sends a new ip to the box thank you

hi, ye it should be possible, go into menu, system, network and turn off dhcp and add a static ip in there

Have you checked on the router if you can assign a static IP to the box, that will be the best way of doing it - done that for my box and never had problems.

If your using VIX, if you go into the network, you can change your IP address by disabling DHCP.
