vu ip & port open on router
    dyndns ip details into androiddreamer/dreamdroid
problem is im using miui rom on my glalaxy s2 and stock video player doesnt work so with dreamdroid mx video player searches for the stream but doesnt find it and androiddreamer's beta is giving me errors all the time.my try a rom close to stock to see.

I am using MIUI on my SGS2 as well, download daroon player from market. Very few phones will be able to decode on the device running remotely so with android dreamer you need to have VideoLan player (VLC) running on a pc in your network in web interface mode to do the decoding.

Ok in Android Dreamer General settings enter IP address of your dreambox
type in your dnydns or no-ip or if you have a static external ip (if you wanna use it from remotely via wifi or 3g)
use port 80, or whatever you have your HTTP port set at in your VU Duo
    user root
password -> dreambox (if you haven't changed anything but I recommend you change this)
    Enigma Type: Enigma2
Then in Extra settings Direct Streaming Player: Any Player

    VLC Settings (general)
ip address of your computer where you have your VLC server running
    http port 8080
    dst port 554
    flv port 8001
FLV Sout quality is up to you, you can leave at default and work from there.

    2nd
go to the install location of your VLC usualy c:\Program Files\VideoLAN\vlc\http edit the .hosts -File with the notepad,
remove the # in front of 192.168.0.0/16 and save it.
you will need admin rights to save this file again, so start notepad in admin mode

192.168.0.0/ means that you open the Range 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

then start VLC on your computer go to View -> Add interface -> Web interface

    same instructions here;
    http://www.tillekesoft.com/ANDR_instructions.html

I had set up for HTTP mode and had all ports forwarded, but found it easier to set up a VPN and only 1 port forwarded.

    3rd part
    setup VPN like http://www.tillekesoft.com/ANDR_VPN_SET_UP.pdf

    4th part
Forward port 1723 in your router to the computer running VLC (and where you set up your VPN)

Depending on your firewall you may need to allow VLC player access through it.

so hopefully it's done, streaming should now possible over 3G or wifi in use with VPN.

did you enable the web interface in VLC

View -> Add interface -> Web interface ?

You need to add the ip of that machine to the VLC settings of AndroidDreamer

i use http mode , just a side not ive tried using daroon on my rooted moto xoom tablet ice cream sandwich and fails to work everytime so ive had to go back to honeycomb 3.2
    maybe a build issue.

ive also succesfully setup using DreamStreamoidhd and bought the pro version but all info is in german from here
    Code:
    http://dreampro.zey.de/en/vlcinternet.html
thats the vlc configuration page which shows you which ip and port to forward , as stated its in german but basicallu set it up as is apart from your vu duo port web gui

port 4321*vu port external to 80 internal vu duo ip tcp
port 554 external 1234 internal point to pc running vlc also tcp
port 4212 external 8080 internal point to pc running vlc also tcp

Password protection must be activated in VLC!
Therefore, you have to create a file .access in each directory of the web interface. It must contain username and password like: vuduo:vuduo or whatever u like
vlc can be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\http depending on what os your using so u need to copy the .access file uve edited in notepad into all dirs in vlc http folder

the base configs can be copied direct from the website there easy enough to follow, if you do try this make sure uve undoen the port options for androidreamer
on another side not i do find the epg and the optiuon to view ure own picons is great

Can you post the settings you are using in AndroidDreamer, just blank out your DynDNS, your internal ports are ok to post

dreamstreamoid is very good as you can see an epg and also your picons twin tuner support on the non tablet version , set recordings up, but androidreamer is just easy to use and setup and hopefully the paid version with have all the benefits of dreamstreamoid when it gets released
