    avi. problem

    vix image can play avi files do not please help

    That depends oh what standard the Avi files were encoded to, but yes these receivers play Avi files quite well from within the default ViX media player.

    I downloaded from plugin media player so I've tried has not worked

    I've tried a few different avi movies will unfortunately not can someone please help?

    are all the AVI's coded to the same standard ? by this i mean for example I have many AVI's on my box that i transcoded from DVD to AVI my self to the following specifications
    Attachment 13717
    and they work flawlessly, in fact for me all AVI's i have ever tried work.

    So as I said I have checked the settings again and try the Different avi.filme is it always a black screen image.
    vix image is very nice and even if I have problems with avi I remain still during image vix ..

    by black screen do you mean that when you try to view the AVI you get a black screen and nothing else or that it triggers a Black crash screen and reboots ?.

    I mean black tv stays black no crashe....enigma2_crash_1325531183.logs, but I have just tried mount-manager causes crashes

    I assume you're using the latest vix image? As I remember when I first got my box (and possibly when vix 1.0 was released, but cannot fully remember that far back ), the vu's didn't support avi's very well... But, in driver releases they supported more and more avi files, and like phoenix, every avi I've ever thrown at the box has been played back flawlessly...

    I've done an online update after I installed the last image I vix is the book now
    image.Release
    version .2.3
    Build.161
    do you think the next update I have more luck with avi movies
