    cant get mgcamd to work at all

    hi there i am struggling trying to get this to work , i want to explain this without breaking any rules i have put th mg_cfg into var/keys and newcamd.list into same place The newcamd list i did have in my spiderbox and just checked it again and its ok i just dont know where i am going wrong please help the wifey is going mad she is mising her telly time also i am a new user to this box am i missing something please help

    press the blue key and the go to softcam manager ? is mgcamd active and set to autostart?

    which version of VIX do you have running?

    which version of mgcamd did you install ?

    hi Mgcamd 1.35a active and autostart enabled vix2.3 running sorry i didnt give you this info

    Telnet to the box and do a ps and see if mgcamd is running

    Can some body please put a step by Step guild please I using vix 2.3 can get cccam to work but carnt get mgcam to work I install the cam go to var keys nothing there blank please help

    Step 1 is what I gave you already if it isnt running you need to find out why.
    If it is running then we go to step 2.

    Are you sure your using the coorect softcam for the vix image buddy.. ??

    I also run mgcamd and all working here with vix 2.3

    vix cams cable 4 shared 1.35a cam install ok no conf files in var keys

    i will telnet to xtrend box is this correct telnet then ip address sorry cant connect sorry for been a newbie

    i never got 1.35a to work on 2.3 had to install 3.8

    changing the box type to 06 im mg_cfg Works :-)

    just wanting advice on mgcamd 1.35 just got it working tonight after about 10 secs picture goes pixalated dont if that is spelt right audio ok tried my spiderbox same config was smooth is there something i need to change in mg_cfg or load a diff cam many thanks

    cheers copex steady now just to sort out my next issue as i cant download plugins a need to reload image as instructed by other members onwards and upwards
