Go to setup in vu+ then something like settings > network > network setting and you will see the vu+ ip address.

They are organised channel lists with frequencys. Save you doing a scan.

a bouquet is basically a channel list, this is what dreambox edit is used for. it may be that your settings are slightly out of date and you need to either load a new bouquet or do a rescan on 28.2 east to bring them back in.

OK, I can still only get BBC channels. On the info bar NDS is greyed out on all other channels, including ITV, C4 etc. Do I need a freesat card from Sky to view these. I have a Humax foxsat PVR so I guess I assumed I would be able to view the FTA sat stuff without a card?

    Cheers

No FTA channels do not require a card to view them.

we need to see what your tuners are set up as.
sadly i'm at work and can not remember the exact path on the box to check this, but some one will post up once they see this.

without the use of a softcam and a sky card ( or the other method that can not be discussed on the forum ) you will only be able to watch the FTA or free to air channels. not premium ones such as sports or movies.

    Thatnks,

I have a sky card from my SkyHD box that I was hoping to put in the VU+.
Reading else where I thought I needed some sort of converter to put it in the VU+?
    Is that a softcam?

no your card goes into the card slot of the Vu but you will need to use a softcam to read the card, and depending on the softcam used you will need to obtain the boxkey from the receiver that is paired to the card.

Oh, well you should have just said, it's all very clear now!?

The scan has gone well, it seems I was scanning for the wrong sat at 19.2, so no wonder that never worked! Keeping reading, but am starting to get more confused than before now!
