    Need help flashing asap please...!!!

Ok guys... got the duo yesterday. Everything was good.

I was reading a thread about an hr ago and someone was asking why an icon on the OSD keeps flashing. Someone said that it was updates and said what to do on the box.
So i went in to the box and it downloaded 105 files and updated. But when the box when to boot up, it just keeps saying "Starting"

I was running the latest Vix image. I have disconnected all the devices connected to the duo and tried rebooting a few times. With no luck. Just sticks at "Starting"

I have downloaded the latest Vix image again and but it onto a USB Stick. When i put the stick in the front usb I just get the "Starting" text again on the box.
I have also downloaded the HP Tool to format the usb stick incase it wasn't recognising it.

    Still no luck...

what else can i try or am i doing something wrong.

    Help...

Try powering down the box from the rear rocker-switch, and leaving it switched off for a good minute or two...

Then, try again, and it should all be good again

format a USB stick to FAT32 and place the image folder on there. then turn off the box from the back and place the stick in the machine and turn it back on. you will see when its done as it will ask you to remove the stick and reboot.

my usb stick is 8gb would that have anything to do with it? does it support 8gb sticks?
Just waiting on the stick formatting, doing a proper format and not a quick one to see if it makes a difference

Yeah, some usb sticks don't work for flashing. They are rare, and you were unlucky to have one of them Glad it's all working fine now tho

2/3 of my sticks worked. 1 that failed was a 8Gb one, but one of the 2 that worked was also 8Gb. Found an old 2Gb one that I'll be using from now on though

both my current 8gb sticks work fine for flashing images to both my Uno and Duo. one is a duracell 8gb stick the other i cant remember the name. i also have several 4 GB blade cruzor sticks which also work fine for me.

in fact come to think of it i currently have a 16 GB stick in the rear of my DUO that work fine for flashing, also a duracell model.
