Are the coloured buttons on the touch screen so or left out altogether?

colour buttons are onscreen via teh touch screen panel
and they can be mapped to any hard button you like aswell

long press should work as long as you set the responce time but i cant be too sure as i dont anymore have my harmony one

Is the button you use from the database? If so, you could try learning it yourself. Normally it should work out of the box.
About which button for which box are you speaking?
If you can't get it to work, there are still 2 possibility's:
1- Learn the command as "RAW" (advanced learning);
2- Write a mail from within the software to the customer service.
