    REQ: QuickZap button

    Dear folks,

    I am wondering what you think of the following suggestion....
    Zapping is IMO a first class citizen of usability on the VU+ / VIX. The newish feature whereby a user long presses the record button is beautiful, but the button it's on, is in an awful location. The reason for that it that the record button is at the very bottom of the remote thus you need to use two hands to press it. Its not in the thumbable area.

    If we consider zapping a first class citizen, and quick programming a zap similar, what about changing the feature to a long press green ? or even a short press green swapping with the current timer entry ?

    1) I can push all buttons, one handed, no problem;
    2) How often do you use instant record? I never do;
    3) Why use the standard R/C? Once you have been using a "real" R/C, you'll never do that again (see my footnote for explanation).
    4) Using one of the "expensive" coloured buttons for doubling an existing button is not a good idea.

    But I do agree with you that the possibility of customising (a number of) buttons would be very nice. And I know that Andy is working on that.........
