Thanks Stanman,
I tried downloading and installing the image agian, still have the same problem. Very strange. Does anyone have the url for the downloads (or an IP address that I can ping) so that I can see if I can access the link from my PC. It is as if something is blocking access.
Strange that I can download EPGs etc so my connection to the internet is obviously ok.
I'd try changing your DNS settings on your router to Googles or Open DNS.
I tried VLC, it won't play them, but only sometimes...
I have noticed after a day or 2, when I switch between channels on the stick, while they display perfectly, I get an error message on the screen for a few seconds, something about PMT? will check exact later...
A reboot of the box fixes it & files can be played on my PC then.

Is the error I get, happens about 15 seconds after I switch on the channel.
If it happens, I can't rewind that channel even though PTS is enabled or watch recordings from that channel on my PC.
A reboot fixes it, but any ideas what's causing it?

Thanks Judge, Changing to Goolges DNS solved my problem. The VIX server must be missing from my ISPs DNS for some reason.
I have just put the latest vix on and can't get the nova-t working , i downloaded the driver but just came back with fatal error device not found.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Which driver did you install?
It's in the feeds now under:
drivers/dvb-usb-dib0700(1.0r2)
Works perfectly for me using latest VIX 2.3
Yep that was it ,its not listed now so i guess its installed , i must be doing something wrong ,not used vix for a while.
Ok sorted it ,just needed to reboot box.

SIMPLES.
I'm on VIX 2.1 and don't want to update the image to 2.3.
In 2.1 I don't get the drivers feed. Is it possible to download the siano ipk or the dib0700 ipk from telnet on the vu+?
If that stick is based on the af9035 chip then there may not be any drivers configured by the Vix Team. I have an Avermedia A825 based on the af9035 and I have used the ItalySatDtt Downloader plugin (from the Vix feeds) to access drivers that work. Works well on Vix 2.2.110, Vix 2.3 GM and Vix 2.3.133 in my experience. These drivers support the digital (DVB-T) aspect and probably won't support the hybrid features (analog TV, FM radio etc).
Might be worth a look.
cheers
Blue Button > Vix > Packet Manager > ..... wait while Packet List is downloaded .... then you should be able to find ItalySatDTT-Downloader-Vuduo package. Highlight this package and press <OK> and follow the prompts to download etc. After a re-boot you should have a new plugin. Run this plugin to select the DTT driver to download. Once downloaded you can try to enable (within plugin) and then re-boot again. If the driver you selected is compatible with your stick you'll be in business... otherwise it'll be bad luck.
In my case, Avermedia TwinStar A825, the AF9035 drivers recognised the device and both tuners (C & D) showed up and work well. The SNR doesn't get displayed properly, but actual operation is fine.
Good Luck.
