If it`s a new image you have installed, the username is root and you don`t type anything for password, just press enter.
ttt.
Togora (10-12-20)
then, when you have logged in, set a password by type "passwd" and typing the new password twice. Will make the box more secure, and also allow some ftp programmes to work with the box correctly (such as dcc)...
Hi All,
I have a ZGemma H7S and I am trying to have a look at the files on the box. I have tried FTP'ing but no joy. The software is always asking for a password. Checking here on the forum and wider Internet has not helped and I always end up with a "Command Failed" error.
I obtained my IP address from the H7S and entered "root". For a password I have tried "root", "zgemmah7", passwrd and probably a few more, nothing appears to work. Has anyone got this information and be willing to share?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. If www.world-of-satellite.co.uk are reading this too then it would have been nice had this information been included in the user manual.
from version 5.4 you NEED to set a password for access to the box.

Thanks for that but I have just had this box for a few days now and have not needed to input a password anywhere hence my question to find out what the default one is. I have checked and the software I have installed is as follows:
System OE: OE-Alliance 4.4
Firmware version: OpenViX 5.4.003 (2020-11-11)
Kernel / Drivers: 4.10.12 / 20191123
Also, I was not trying to TFP but rather see what files were in the box.
Thanks in advance
If you want to see your files you need to set a password and login with it.
MENU > SETUP > NETWORK > PASSWORD
Genius! Many thanks.
