I have a choppy sound on my clarke-tech ET9000 (VIX 2.1 not updated) when i pass an MKV 1080p dts through my home cinema (Denon 1911).

I don't pass DTS through - although I have noticed choppy sound when playing DTS DVD's through the ET9000.

The ET9000 doesn't seem to like DTS at all and I have to resample sound to AC3 on mkv's I play on the ET9000 as well. This however is very easy with Popcorn MKV audio converter (can give more details should anyone be interested).

Sorry I know this didn't really answer your question - but looking at the Clarke-tech forum it seems driver support for DTS isn't quite ready yet - but it is a development priority.

Thank you for your quick answer.
Yes, i would like some details for popcorn MKV audio converter, it will help me. I'm under mac os x, i hope ther's an equivalent on it, if not i must use bootcamp.
Does VIX 2.2.100 version provide a better support of DTS ?

(can not update, because of a cifs mount that never works on 2.2.100 : nas on freebox revolution (french box) which contains 3D movies)

I have a tool that I use under macosx to convert to ac3. It converts it to 640kbps ac3, which is prolly a little higher than required, but it's the only app I found. I keep the app stored on my desktop, then you drag the mkv to the app, which then extracts the dts and then converts to ac3. I then use mkvtoolnix to remux the ac3 with the mkv. Will try to upload the files tonight if I remember (update this thread about 8pm to remind me in case I forget )

That would require newer drivers with dts support to be available
