    Just ordered my box :)

Just ordered myself a ET9000 from the site sponsor, can't wait to get it

    2 questions.....

    1) I'm going to install a internal HDD, what's best to get a 2.5" or 3.5"? if i get a 2.5" do I need an adapter for it? do i get sata or IDE?

    2) I want a cooling fan in it as its tighter than a frogs a**e in my tv cabinet, can i get the fan and J11 connector from maplins?

    cheers

I would use a 2.5" SATA HDD, faster spin up times and less heat use one of these cradles
    Code:

Regards fan I've never bothered, but mins placed on a glass shelf with plenty of space round it.

Either will be fine, but a 2.5" with a cradle is best imo.

Logically you would need a crossover cable if you don't use a hub or switch. However thse days quite a lot of things are auto sensing - particularly laptops. (I don't know about homeplugs.)

All you need is to download filezilla
    HTML Code:
    http://filezilla-project.org/
    and putty
    HTML Code:
    http://www.putty.org/
You use filezilla to FTP into the box. Putty is a telnet client and you wont need it apart from when you first change the box password highly recommend. When your ready mate post up.
