New Skin - No Picture :S

I have a DM500S
it is running OpenPLi image,
I downloaded the blackbox skin via the software install menu
the skin installed without issue
I restarted the box, the box boots and I can access all menus, but I have no channel picture on any channel.

is a transponder scan likely to fix it ? and is it customary to do a transponder scan after a new skin install ?

[edit] oh and switching back to the old skin worked fine - and I get a picture on all channels - just nowt under the blackbox skin :S

loading a new skin should not have affected the channels in the way you are suggesting. however it would not hurt to load a new satellites.xml file to the receiver and do a rescan.
