AV Settings 2160p black screen

Found this from a review, The box itself – which houses four HDMI inputs (all HDCP 2.2-compliant), two USB slots and an optical digital audio output – connects to the UE48JS8500 via a proprietary cable.

Tried the hdmi cable that came with my box yesterday but still I can't set av setting to 2160 so now am stuck not sure what else to try apart from contacting WOS and advising that that may have a sold me a faulty box.

So go into menu/setup/System/AV settings
Whats pipmode?
Change it (Pip enabled/Pip not enabled with HDR)
REBOOT.

Hi two, Thanks I changed video chip mode to her, 12bit 4:2:0/4:2:2, no pip and restarted then tried to change the mode from 1080 to 2160 and this time it worked it was originally set to pip enabled, no her.
No sure what that setting does but it worked

It also changes the supported frequency (60/50) as well as pip and hdr mode.
You were probably lucky with the HD51 as the default was also no pip etc until recently...... but the Germans prefer to have PIP and so on both machines it is now the default, which will continue to cause issues for those with 2160 TV's ... and older models. For the HD51 with some Astra 2160 test channels, it is also an issue.

bought a new receiver, Denon avr-x3300, using this for all HDMI in and 1 out to TV, so it is good for sound AND picture.

Just setting up my new SF4008 to my 1080p Samsung smart TV, I got it preinstalled with OpenVix.

I have no sound on any channels, TV and box volume to max.

I have tried a different HDMI than the issued one too.

Any ideas guys?

Hi twol, i did a bit of research before posting and both AC3 and DTS downmix are selected to yes.

I have it working, i swapped HDMI port on the TV. Very strange, that port worked fine fine for the last 7 years for my DM800.

Coming from the DM800 this box is fantastic!

Depends on your receiver/TV and how they handle the audio ... the fact that the poster was not getting audio just made me wonder
So correct, they should be whatever your output device can handle.

My LG OLED55B6V works fine in 2160P with all the images I tried (OpenATV, OpenPLI, Blackhole, Open BlackHole...) but in OpenVIX I can only put 1080P !
