    Starting with last channel

    Hi,

Does anyone know what I have to change so that I can start the receiver (Solo2) straight into the last channel I was watching rather than into a menu from which I have to choose Favorites?

When on the channel you want to be the startup channel, press up to open channel list, then press menu and click on "set up as startup service"

Thank you, I did not know that, but it only answers half of my question because it still leaves me looking at the open channel list on the left. I would like the Solo to start on the right channel (preferably the last one watched) full screen (no channel list). I seem to recall I had this once before but cannot remember how to set it up.

That is normal functionality, so it should work out of the box.
Unless you set a dedicated channel as 'start up channel'.

I am afraid I have to contradict you here. I did a fresh install of VIX this afternoon (using the latest version from this site) and every time it starts it comes up with the Channel list on the left. Apart from setting such things as which disk to record on I made no changes. Be that as it may, if it is normal behaviour, how do I restore this normal behaviour?

By default, the image reboots into last channel used.
Only you can change this by changing default settings/using non default plugins.

Can you explain what you mean by channel on left/right please?

How are you shutting down your receiver? Are there any errors during the shutting down process?

How do you start the box: do you use a Harmony? I ask, because what you describe is the behaviour when after the power on an input is being selected (which is default Harmony behaviour).

Please try the following: watch a channel (not #1), and use the power button of the WEB-IF (top right) to go to stand-by; now use the power button again to activate the box. Tell us the result.

Thanks Rob, you are spot on! Yes, I use a Harmony (900). I tried your suggestion and when I switch the receiver on again on WEB-IF it comes back full-screen, just as I want it. Now how do I make this the default behaviour?

    Hi,
as Rob said do not select an input for your VU in the Harmony activity. When you select TV Harmony will start all devices and send send the command TV to your STB and this results in displaying the channel list.

That is easier said than done since I have to switch between a projector and a TV screen.

    Hi,
it has NOTHING TO DO with TV or projector. When Harmony asks for an input of the VU answer "do not set an input". I also use TV and projector in one activity.

For this very reason I deleted all inputs for all my STB's from the harmony (in device set up). That prevents the Harmony from sending an 'input' command, as no STB actually has any 'input' at all.
