Fulabeer, ur wasting your time with those old timers.
Give them their pipe and slippers and send them off to bed with a glass of hot milk.

    Lol,
I must admit that I'm addicted to my iPhone.
I don't use my main computer that much anymore because I use my laptop and iPhone all the time.
I spent 7k on main computer a year ago and hardly use it now.
I know, I know I need a good kick in the arse.
Wish I hadn't bought it now

I'm not trying to convince or convert them, just answering the OPs question.

People wondered why anybody would want to pause live TV, or even rewind it.
Now it is an every day feature that is brilliant if the phones rings or you mishear something.

Same with digital music servers. People say they prefer vinyl or CDs, but having it all stored on server/NAS means you are more likely to visit your entire collection.
My mate has an enormous vinyl/CD collection, but struggles to find the exact platter/disc he wants. He has organized them, but finding certain tracks quickly just doesn't happen.
A lot of his music time is taken up sorting through the library.
He has transferred it all to a Sonos type system, and has gained control once more.
He still prefers to actually get the original platter/disc out now and again. But for every day use, he is listening to more music.

Tablets are just more accessible and convenient.
