Unicable in communal flats - Is this setup Sky Q compatible?

I've been living in a flat for around 10 years. In that time we have only ever been able to get a single feed of Sky so I've been stuck with a Sky+ HD box in single feed mode. I recently read up on the ability to modify legacy systems to transmit over a single cable which seemed to open up the possibility of Sky Q.

After asking the managing agents multiple times if it was possible I finally got a response saying no but I do wonder if I've been fobbed off.

I had a nosey around in the satellite cupboards and found these Unicable devices seem to have been installed. Am I correct in thinking these are set up to offer single cable Sky Q?

    Thanks in advance!

Sky Q LNBs require 2 cable and operate in a way unique(?) to them. One cable carries horizontal polarised satellite channels and the other vertical polarised. They use the terrestrial/DAB cable frequencies for satellite (as well as the satellite cable frequencies). This is completely different to how unicable (single cable) LNBs work. That's why Enigma 2 boxes don't support sky Q LNBs - unless the LNB also has additional legacy outputs, requiring extra cables.

A guide to unicable can be found at

    Have a look here:
    Code:
    https://www.inverto.tv/support?search=5457
    - blinking green = dSCR or SatCR mode (e.g. Sky Q or Sky+ HD STBs)

The inverto support team should be able to advise how to configure the Sky Q box. Once you set your Sky q and reboot, the multiswitch should be flashing for that output. Please share instructions with us.
