    network no acccessible on WIFI

    HI Peeps

Not sure how to explain this but i cant seem to solve this issue. I currently have a VU ULTIMO 4K and a VU DUO 4k both on the latest vix image.

On my phone using ES file explorer i can access my ultimo 4k but for some reason not my duo 4k. See photos

both receivers have all the utitiles downloaded such as NFS USHARE mini Dyln.
for some reason it rejects access to the vu duo 4k . I can not figure out why.

    Hi,
I do not use NFS or CIFS/SMB with my mobile devices. I use good old FTP.

For your problem perhaps you need old SMB-V1 which might not be enabled on your DUO 4K.

Yh but it makes transferring files so much easier when I can use es file explorer. What I can't understand is why it works for my ultimo and not duo when the settings are exactly the same

I'm not sure but maybe you need
    Code:
            disable netbios = No
in the [global] section of /etc/samba/smb-user.conf on the problem box.
It enables compatibility with some older samba clients like Windoze 7, and I'm hoping and suggesting, maybe ES File Explorer.

    My /etc/samba/smb-user.conf looks like:
    Code:
    ## User changes to Samba config go here

    ## You can overrule the insecure defaults and enforce password
    ## protected access to shares by uncommenting the following
    ## line, including the secure settings:

    [global]
    #       include = /etc/samba/distro/smb-secure.conf
            disable netbios = No

    ## You can hide and veto access to certain directories, e.g. mount points of
    ## other boxes in order to prevent round trips through your LAN
    ## In Samba 4.x this needs to be configured per share:

    [Root]
    # veto files = /ThisBox/OtherBox/AnotherBox/YetAnotherBox/
    # hide files = /ThisBox/OtherBox/AnotherBox/YetAnotherBox/

    [Harddisk]
    # veto files = /ThisBox/OtherBox/AnotherBox/YetAnotherBox/
    # hide files = /ThisBox/OtherBox/AnotherBox/YetAnotherBox/

did you compare the samba configuration of both machine? I think there must be an important difference.

Do you have a laptop and using FileZilla can you enter both boxes by ip address.

Has a box changed its ip by 1 digit.
