I have an octagan 4008 latest ota just leaves 408 with on screen message booting

I have an octagan 4008, and have updated the box, by ota, it leaves the box sitting there with booting, on the on screen display.

I wouldn't upgrade to the latest image , i cant comment but flashing it by USB but OTA is not a good idea as it will stop the box from booting correctly

New USB flash of release 5.1.009 boots fine here.

Download new image and flash via USB http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/d...images/sf4008/

DO NOT restore any backup settings.

It never got that fair to restore any settings, boot came up with Oatagan rebooting now on TV screen, then booting...... and that was it.

I did an OTA but a few days ago re flashed by a USB and got the same, might try it again tomorrow by USB

    thanks

5.1.009 has only been released today. As Sicilian has suggested, fresh flash via USB with new released image (5.1.009)

It wasn't showing last night but was this am

Redownload exact match on the hash, box sits on booting not responding to ping, etc.
    007 loads without issue

I think you should reformat your usb stick and redownload the image. Then flash again.

I've downloaded twice, 007 loads from the drive without issue, but 008 and 009 get to booting and stop.

The downloaded zip is not corrupt, the usb is not corrupt, the time shown on the download site is not corrupt.

Doing an online update eliminates the usb drive and that stops in exactly the same place...
