    Dish not Moving

I have just partially set up my new receiver, but cannot configure it to move my motorised dish. Its receiving power OK, as I can move it outside the house by pressing the buttons on the mount. Also, after moving it this way and tuning in to a TV channel, the receiver automatically moves the dish to pick up the channel.

I set up Tuners A and B exactly the same way as my old Technomate TM-NANO-3T. ie. Plugged a single LNB into LNB2 on back of receiver, Tuner A - Loop through from Tuner B, Tuner B - Simple, Positioner, Long 000.000, Lat 051.500, Tuner I DVB-T2. However, when highlighting a different satellite to 28.2E, and clicking on to a channel, nothing happens.

Also when setting up AutoBouquetsMaker and starting Scan, it hangs at 22% and says 'tuning failed fatal.'

I would appreciate any help, please.

    Dish not Moving

describe the wiring/lnb/motor connected to one tuner

describe the tuner config for this tuner.

repeat for all tuners. separate answer for each tuner please.

    Better still, draw a picture.

Not necessarily. Just means he is on Greenwich Mean line. So neither east nor west.

I'm guessing he has a 2nd cable of motorised LNB type of setup.

Sorry. Dont know how to draw onto this forum.
I am only using one co-axial satellite cable from one LNB on a 1m motorised dish. This cable is plugged into 'LNB2 in', as the paper manual says. ie. LNB1 is not being used.
I purchased a twin hybrid DVB-C/T/T2 tuner, which I set up OK on Tuner I. I use this for terrestrial, as I have plugged in a roof aerial into the receiver.

Tuner A: Config Mode Loop through from
    Connected to Tuner B: Vuplus DVB-S NIM(7376 FBC) (DVB-S2)
    Force LNB Power No
    Force ToneBurst No

    Tuner B: Config Mode Simple
    Mode Positioner
    Longitude 000.000 East
    Latitude 051.500 North
    Extra Motor Options No
    Force LNB Power No
    Force ToneBurst No

    Tuner C, D, E, F, G, H and J are inactive.
I hope this is enough info. This configuration seemed to work OK for the old Technomate.

You draw a picture on a piece of paper and attach it. Never mind, your description of of a basic motor setup.

Does the receiver move the dish if you disable Tuner A?

No it doesn't. I've even tried plugging into the other input - 'LNB1 in' and disabled Tuner B. Then setting up Tuner A like I did for Tuner B ie. Simple, Positioner etc.
I just don't understand what I am doing wrong!

Attach your settings file. You will find it in /etc/enigma2/ You will need to zip it before you can attach it.

It may be a loose cable/fitting. Did you change anything else after swapping receivers?

Nothing changed that I know of. Cable is sound, as I can move dish externally at the motor mount using the inching buttons.
Been looking for the files you mentioned, but can only find Set up\System\Logs\Settings, but no enigma 2.
I'm afraid that I need an idiots guide as to where to find this file and how to Zip it. I know how to attach a screen grab to this thread though.

If its of any help, I installed the same Plugin as with the old Technomate - vhannibal.motor (1.0 + GIT 1310)

For a start it should be force lnb power = yes. Force tone = yes.

Set tuner A to not configure until we get tuner B working right.

Tried that, so I've only tuner B set up, but still no good.
When I try to move from 28.2E to 13E and click on France 24 for example, at top left corner of TV screen, the dish symbol flashes and counts down, but no dish movement.

Is it a direct cable from the STB to the motor? Or does it pass through anything else, like DiSEqC switches or wall plates?

Yes. It is a direct cable from STB through wall and up to motor, with no breaks anywhere for best signal. There is no other equipment like DiSEqC switching.
The previous Technomate STB one day stopped turning to the satellites in the same way, but as many other functions like abitily to record packed up on me, I bought this new Vu+Solo4K.
I'm beginning to wonder if, even though the motor turns from activating it outside, its not sending a signal back to the STB.
Thank you for persevering with this, as I am getting very frustrated.

Are you able to test with another cable?
