    Welcome.

It depends on what you have connected to it. For satellite, you must have two signal wires direct from Dish/LNB.

The Vu twin tuner modules (not satellite ones) have a built-in splitter. You connect the one signal wire to it and both tuners will use the signal they require. If you are using CCcam, you must use version 2.30.

There is nothing to do to facilitate watching one recording another. You just do it.

With dualtuner you can record and watch channels from two multiplexes at the same time. Number of channels doesn`t matter, only number of multiplexes.

Sort of. Receiver does the work.

If you want to know more...
Each tuner needs to have a "signal supply" it can use.

With satellite, you cannot share/split (unless you have a unicable LNB). DVB-T (terrestrail) and DVB-C (cable) can be split/shared provided you have adequate signal. It does not matter whether the splitter is inside the tuner modules (as in your case), you use a loop through wire (not applicable to you), or you use a splitter and separate wires (not applicable to you). All that matters is you have adequate signal.

In practice it means, that in same multiplex all channels are using same frequence.

    Abu B,

thanks for the info regarding the watch/ record.

When you talk about signal, does it matter if I want to add another box or two upstairs. Will the signal level degrade across all of the boxes possibly resulting in a loss or or intermittent service?

Adding a splitter will result in a drop. You will need a powered splitter if doing so.

hi guys to expand on this, im using a single cable feed into the dual tuner which comes with the SE v2. When i start to record, all of the other channels are greyed out.

do I need to change something in the tuner config?

What have you set tuner A as?
What have you set Tuner B as?

    Two answers please.
