Transmission not working in OpenVix 5

After updating Vix to version 5 (5.0.008), the transmission plugin (2.82) from the feeds is no longer working. It seems to install correctly, but it wont start. Does anyone know how to get it to work again? (VU+SOLO2)

No nothing. Had to downgrade again :/

But I reposted this in the ViX Team Images Support Discussion today, hoping to get some help.

It seems the ViX team missed the comment on this commit:
    https://github.com/oe-alliance/oe-al...da5ba7b32ee856

    - Rename the init script to "transmission-daemon", the daemon is called that way on any decent Linux distro

    Note:
If you have any E2 plugin that starts/stops transmission-daemon, re-adjust it to the new initscript name, not the other way around!
    (I couldn't find any)
    BTW:
There is another change, the default password is now "enigma2", not "dreambox" anymore for apparent reasons.

That commit is in the core, so plugin should work on latest image.

That package inside core only contains the daemon itself, not an E2 plugin.

As the screenshot shows some plugin/built-in function for starting/stopping the daemon, there is probably some place where "/etc/init.d/transmissiond" needs to be changed to "/etc/init.d/transmission-daemon".

I tried it the other way to rename the file transmission-deamon to transmissiond in the init.d folder, because that's the file the transmission starter is looking for, and that's the name of the file in vix4. Then it tries to start, but still doesn't.

    **EDITED**

Oh, it does work by renaming the file, it was the password that I didn't know had changed.

You are absolutely right SpaceRat, I have now rebuilt the plugin and tested it all working, latest version.

Anyone having issues please transfer the attached "Transmission" folder to "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions"

    The default password is "enigma2"

    Thanks,

Transmission not working in OpenVix 5

Surely it would be better to fix at source so that it works out of the box?

    Hi Abu,

I don't think transmission needs a fix as its been updated at the core with the latest version, the plugin was out of date.

If the attached plugin added to source it should be all fine.

Which file do I need to rename?
One of these in the Extensions folder?

For strange reason, I can't login with either "enigma2" or "dreambox" password.

    I'm using username "root".

And before anyone asks, no I didn't include double quote in password.

    Any help, appreciated.
