This box should have 1GB of ram so why is only a third of that being made available to the system ?

This has been raised on the Octagon forum and they say 1GB is fitted but seem to be oblivious to fact it's not made available to the system.Code:root@mutant51:~# free total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 1028112 766504 166624 364 94984 228000 Swap: 502780 0 502780
I love this box but I'm beginning to loose a little faith in their driver devs tbh.
Another driver update today where they only address cosmetics.
I use 2 Sundtek USB tuners, one S2 and one C but they are disabled on the SF4008 because ABM and CrossEPG can't use them yet on the HD51 there's no problem, whether this is because they use different USB chipsets or poor drivers I have no idea.

Same chipset .... the difference (and I hate to say this) is that Mut@nt have been pretty low key, but delivered changes (like Kodi), whereas Octagon are constantly interacting with users and promising a lot, but so far it's been slow coming

I tend to agree with you, it's looking like Esmos is Octagon so to speak, I just hope they concentrate on getting the basics working as they should before rushing out Kodi.
I'd like Octagon hardware with HD51 drivers
I would like the ET8500 receiver box and LCD (plus slide in HDD), with the Octagon tuners and HD51 drivers plus EMMC usage (for multiboot)!!!!
