Unicable Quad 40mm LNB 1 Legacy port

Hi guy's, need a couple of questions answered please. Does the Unicable Quad 40mm LNB 1 Legacy work on the VU+ Solo2 or is it only for the Solo 4K. Can I just fit the Unicable LNB onto my existing sky dish which has 2 cables leading from it and if so, I have noticed the the Unicable LNB has 2 connections, one a gold colour and one a silver. whats the difference? Sorry if there are a few questions there but I am considering buying a Solo2 4K soon.
My system at the moment is a VU+ Solo2 running Vix Build 4.1.016 connected onto a 80cm sky dish with 2 cables.

You would connect the legacy to solo2 and the unicable connection to the solo4k.
That is the most basic way to wire it.

1m Motorised Single LNB Dish, 60cm Fixed Octo LNB Dish.

You can connect both to your receiver, but obviously with the Vu+ Solo2 not having the FBC tuners it will just act as a traditional LNB (I think).

Hi Andy, thanks for your quick reply. I have tried removing my original LNB (which was working ok) and replacing with my new Unicable but could not get any signal for some reason, tried with both cables connected and swapped them over and tried each one separately but still no signal

What are your tuner configurations? You would need to select your LNB model from the list.

You have told it that you are using a normal LNB, this is why it is not working. Hopefully someone will say what the correct settings for unicable are.

They'll probably need to know which unicable LNB you are using before they can advise.

Unfortunately that doesn't tell me anything. Look at the packaging/instructions inside. When you look in the Tuner Configuration, you will select Unicable, then Inverto for Manufacturer then the type is your model number. Scroll through that and see if you can see yours.

That is your model number, so you just scroll through the list where it says Type and find that one.
