    purchase solo4k

    I am the current owner of the VU + Uno (Dual tuner) with VTI 9
    Looking to upgrade to the Solo4k.

    I know all tech specs look superior but has anyone upgraded and found any problems ?
    I Suppose more to the point is it a better experience after shelling out £400...

    BTW i use ccam 2.3... and plan to connect to a 1Tb hard drive, and Gb Lan.
    I know the only thing I will struggle to use is the 4k Ultra HD.

    any help / advice is welcomed
    Thanks

    Well there are new VU+ 4K models announced, cheaper and will probably run better than the original, but you will have to learn Oscam! There is no CCcam.

    .........FBC Tuners:
    ------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
    ------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
    .......................> FBC & DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W) Opticum robust Unicable LNB
    AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports
    Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K

    Yep, you are probably correct - and I see that with one of the alternatives (Mut@nt /AX) its still a work in progress with the image.

    Vu+ Ultimo 4K, Vu+ Uno 4K, Mut@nt 4K and a Gigablue 4K I think. The Ultimo 4K will be the le creme of the creme of receivers and will come at a price. The beauty of the Vu+ receivers, including the Solo4K are the FBC tuners, whereas the others have gone the boring traditional way.
