Autobouquets E2 - Reorder Bouquets Help

Hi All,

As per title really,

I'm happy with the HD Channel swap and I can see this in the 'custom_swap.txt' file.....what I would like to know is it possible to reorder the Bouquets so that when the Autobouquets are updated the Bouquets remain in the order I want them.

I would like to see the order as follows:

Entertainment
Movies
Sport
Kids
Music
News
Documentaries
and so on.........

I have tried to look through the forum but all I can find is channel swapping and not Bouquet reordering.

Disable "make default bouquets" (or words to that effect). Use the remote to the move bouquets into the order you want. AB 28.2 will maintain this order on all runs. I would recommend that you use the large first bouquet if you want to keep ability to access chanenls by their offcial number.

In a related vein...

How do I maintain my channel order in each of the bouquets on update? I don't like the default arrangements and like to do some slight rearranging. On update it overwrites my sorting. Any ideas?

You re-arrange sort file 3. And select it as the sorting option.

I have assumed you are talking about AutoBouquets 28.2, not AutoBouquetsMaker. Please clarify as approach is different.

If you were using AB 28.2, best to run Ab 28.2 in sort 3 mode first to see the layout.
You would FTP file to PC. (FTP stand for File Transfer Protocol).
You would edit file using Notepad++ or any other linux compatible editor. You place the offcial chanenl numbers in the order that you want. Best to see the file.
You then transfer file back to receiver and re-run AB 28.2.

Sorry Abu - I'm using ABM not AB28.2.

It is possible. There are a few threads already. Function to use will depending on how many chanegs you want to make.

List exactly what you want to do. You must refer to channels by offical numbers, not names. People will help provided they understand what you want to do.
