If yes, how? Is it possible to stream from the second tuner while the first one is watched on the TV?
    Regards!
Just go into the Webcontrol page by entering your box's IP address into your web browser. Click the "Television" Menu then click on Bouquets. Within each bouquet each channel should have 2 little TV screen icons on the right. Click the second one to start streaming.

On my google Chrome the streaming did not start automatically so I just clicked on the m3u file that it downloaded and told it to always open. On the odd occaision I have had to click "play" again on vlc because the streaming stopped but in general it was pretty solid

And yes you can stream from the second tuner while the first is tuned to something else on the TV

Thank you very much, I’ll test that.

I tested this method with Vu+ duo with enigma2-plugin-extensions-vlcplayer_experimental-cvs20101031, connected to my mac (powered with a quad-core cpu).
I can confirm that any VLC versions newer than the 1.0.5 has connection issues.
By the way, I can only use the basic resolution provided by the VLC plugin, wich is pretty low. If I try higher resolutions I get freezes. I have tested many mkv 720p movies. I think that the problem is somewhat related to the lan, because my cpu has enough power to transcode my movies.
Is there a way to setup a buffer?

Yeah i have to agree with madmanuk. The quality is poor, i've reverted to my media player.
It would be great if we could get this working properly though

Why would you want to use vlc over the media player? is it for the added features it provides because as a basic streaming method the media player works fine?

Is there a way to set up password protection on vlc plugin in vuplus? I stream from my pc to my htc smart phone via vlc and II activated PW protection in vlc on pc but this does not allow me to stream from pc to vuplus. I do not want to take off the access protection in vlc on pc so as not to expose my personal files to possible attack.

I have 1.1.9 working for some time on my laptop. The main problem I have found is with wireless, you have to have above 25 Mpbs, for it to work properly. So limited to how far from router. HD does not work properly.

i installed Serviio to stream mkv from the media pc to a windows netbook via wifi, and found that the vlc plugin on my uno will pick it up too.
can browse all the drives and folders and stream them over the network. shame it needs to have the settings on low to stream 1080 movies
