Installed an older low profile 80GB Seagate 7200.10 from a scrapped HP sff - and this one makes the whole cabinet hum like crazy. Unfortunately i dont have any 5400 rpm's to test with - so i am just about to go ahead and order a Samsung Ecogreen 5400, and trust you guys know the definition of "noiseless"...

Great drive, I have one too in my VU+DUO but they arn't 5400rpm they change speed depending on the load.
I have just bought two WD10EARS (same drive, just 1TB instead of 1.5) for a RAID setup my my sons PC.

When it first launched the GreenPower Caviar, WD refused to disclose the drive's actual spindle speed, saying only that it was somewhere between 5,400 and 7,200RPM.
