    I have tryed both. i have a dlink 323 nas and a 320nas and canīt mount any one.

    It works with older image. vix 2.4

    hey
    since yesterday I updated my xtrend to version 3 can't mount my pc,laptop's shared folders
    installed NFS-running fine,installed samba- setup doesnt run.
    can someone post a tutorial for vix3 cuz tut like (username vu password vu folder vu) doesnt work here.network browser is useless at all(expand-collaps nothing more).
    how to install samba manually ?

    I had to go through NFS Setup before I could mount my Qnap. Once that was installed it was exactly the same as in ver 2.4

    samba status - stopped & it wont start
    nfs doesnt work for me it didn't in vix2.4 too.
    cifs was working just fine but now it wont start after install.

    If Samba doesn't start you're not on the latest build; this has just been fixed.
    NFS mounts do work fine, but your NAS must have the correct settings to allow that.
