Question New to the world of VU+ Duo

    Morning All,

Hello to everyone, seems like a brilliant forum

got my VU+ Duo yesterday and would like to flash the VIX image. Slightly confused, i know how to install the image but will i need to install the bootloader first? Some guides dont tell you about the bootloader install?

What is the latest version of VIX image?

It will do no harm to flash the boot loader first anyway! Follow the guide and any questions then keep posting!

    Exactly the same process!

Extract onto a USB stick and reboot the receiver!

When prompted, remove the USB stick and power off at the back!

Now, extract the image onto the USB stick, insert into the duo and power on..

    You know the rest then...

I take it you mean MGcamd..

FTP the ipk file to tmp folder..

    Then press blue button..
    Then select Vix..
    Then select Install Local Extention..
Press the green button to install..
After a few seconds you will be asked to restart GUI..
    Select Yes..

Now ftp your mg_cfg and your newcamd.list file into usr > keys

Now press blue button and then select Softcam Manager..
Press green button to start cam.. and then press blue button for Auto Start..

Thats all there is to it..

    Hope this helps..

Tuner Configuration is done by Menu / Setup / Service Searching / Tuner Configuration
Highlight the tuner & click OK to change the settings.
